You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to have an attorney present while you are commenting. If you cannot afford an attorney, you are "Shit Outta Luck" (SOL). I used to be of a mindset similar to yours. Even had a close friend, when I was living in L.A., a gainfully employed screenwriter, who introduced me to the concept of "there are only ten stories."
ReplyDeleteBut then one day, I had a realization that telling the same story over and over is a big part of what we humans do. And I'd argue that this aspect of us promoted our chances at survival.
I know you like to be grumpy, but seriously: it's a big world out there, and we are fortunate to live in a time where we have the Internet, which will let us have a look at almost all of it.
So, maybe change your surfing habits, somehow?
