The Truth Hurts, Dunnit?

This is funny, in a stupid way:

Right-wing commentator Bethany Mandel on Wednesday blamed “hot mic” remarks made by a left-leaning host for her now-infamous inability to define the word “woke” on live TV, claiming she was thrown off by “nasty” comments made about parents minutes earlier.

“Just before we went on air, Briahna Joy Gray was on a hot mic,” Mandel tweeted. “I heard her demeaning parenting in general in colorful and nasty terms, stating parents only have kids in order to perpetuate their own narcissism.”

She continued: “As a mom of six, including a newborn, this threw me off just a bit. Not an excuse, just a reality. I’m human!”

That's debatable. I'd say Mrs. Mandel is more of a broody hen than an actual humanoid. Anyway, I've considered parenting pathetic narcissism since the 1970s. Guess the truth was too much for breeder scum Mandel to handle.

Plus which: Yastreblyansky responds to Jonathan Chait, who excused the whole thing as "She just froze up on TV.
It happens." A further clue for Mr. Chait: Mandel isn't "on TV", in a studio w/ lights, people running all over, a host
in her face, perhaps a live audience reacting, yada. She's sitting in her fucking house talking to one person, on a computer.
