In the far away 1960s, Mr. Lloyd & his band played on the same bill as many a rock act here on The Coast. Indeed, this reporter saw him w/ James Cotton in mid-Feb. 1969 at Seattle's Eagles Auditorium. Still cutting stuff last yr., & here's some wailing from 2021.The Quartet: Charles Lloyd, tenor sax; Keith Jarrett, piano; Cecil McBee, bass; Jack DeJohnette, drums.
