Stop The Sheriffs

Electing county sheriffs is 19th-century bullshit. City police chiefs aren't elected, they're appointed by & answer to a mayor &/or city council. The gawdam frontier closed in 1890, & counties now have administrative structures.

Right-wing sheriffs are doing some really shady political organizing against the election system  —  The New York Times recently published a must-read investigation into right-wing activist efforts to organize county sheriffs for the purpose of challenging the electoral system based on 2020 election rigging disinformation.
Not just that crap, the fuckers are little Hitlers & think they can get away w/ anything. Lookit this bullshit.
