Big Cats, Big Cities

  1. I was pleasantly surprised when I came out here to find a den of coyotes in the neighborhood. Healthy too. Not a lot of stray cats, more rabbits than they can eat, as well as skunk, raccoon and turkey. And fish, I'd bet. I've watched them steal clams from the seagulls, out here on the Atlantic Coast, ten miles out of the heart of one of the largest metros on the coast. Gulls fly up and drop a clam on the rocks to crack them open and coyote pounces on them. Funny as fuck, but they only get away with it once or twice before the gulls gang up on them.
