Claims "1940s" but that, like everything else, is another fucking lie. The two flicks playing at the El Rey (at 4:10 & 6:12) were released in June & July 1951. You do the math. Here's the El Rey 8 June of this yr.

Also of interest: Jack & Jill & Wm. E. Doud & Co. (5:20) are history, replaced by a Jack-in-the-Pants ("What's in that secret sauce, anyway?") & its drive-through lane. 

The heavily wooded area about (0:40) is the La Brea Tar Pits & then a park, now occupied by the L.A. County Museum of Art. Guess they murdered all those trees. 

Possibly the only business that remains in its original location is the Ralphs (3:24) although the nicely decorated building is long gone, replaced by a store w/ underground parking. The Van de Camp's bakery w/ the spinning windmill a block to the left/west is gone as well. It was an Office Depot but is now a Staples. 

Final generalizations: Not one of the gas stations is still there. And you can bet the house & your sweet ass every vacant lot w/ a billboard is no longer vacant.
