Damn you to hell, "auto-focus".
The gambling operation was in a storefront next to the church. This reporter was advised (by two people who'd been shopping & then forced to wait inside the reefer store across the street that, coincidentally, was his destination) that the popo used a battering ram to obtain entry. While excited by the schadenfreude & opportunity for images of police terror, I was forced to pace angrily & seethe for a good hr. before reaching said reefer seller.
Would've been longer but two people went to the ossifers doing nothing & were escorted halfway across the street, I assumed to their cars, but no, they both went right into the Artist Tree. So I followed suit, giving my escort a fair amount of shit on the way, as in, "You don't compensate these businesses for hrs. of lost business, do you?" Must admit, being escorted across a street to a cannabis business by a cop as I gave him shit from behind a mask, shades & ballcap was never in any scenarios for the future.
My first thought was they were all people being detained by ICE and I felt sympathy for them. Once I read they had been in an illegal gambling operation I felt oh well, sucks to be you. I enjoyed reading your post.
