If my mother hadn't been dead as a fucking door nail since February 2007 she would have hit 100 today. What's important about that is how old it makes me feel.
Mine made it to 97 before passing last fall. I only felt a sense of relief when I found out, as she was unable to walk or do anything for herself. She did have a dedicated care person who took care of her and managed her affairs. I would have tried to make to the hospital before she passed, but with Covid-19 raging I wasn't allowed inside. No regrets on my part, she lived a full life...
