Reefer Madness

Reefer stopped working, 'though the freezer was still freezing.

I've been here 12 yrs. & it wasn't new then. (Had to buy door shelf retainer bars.) Turns out there's X yrs. of ice build up, which the technician had to steam away.

Does the light mean it's a refrigerator-specific steamer?

The back of the freezer compartment was pretty well iced too, but big four-eyed dummy here this reporter hadn't noticed.

So the guy, after arriving an hr. or so past his 0900-1400 window stayed & steamed until 1700, replaced a part (& broke a piece from another) & then gave up, saying there was "too much water" & he'd be back Monday, leaving me w/ a freezer that's running like a son-of-a-bitch, at 0°F, (it was about 20°F before) & a still not functional refrigerator.

Positive note: W/ all the melted ice & condensation, the kitchen floor hasn't been this clean in some time.
