News reports said Cherwinksi was arrested at the restaurant a short time later, in front of his wife and two kids. CBS reported that he was charged with [a] misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

    That used to happen to me on the crowded NY subway, where there wasn't any "taking down" room. Nor did I have the nous or the cultural chops to do like the black woman in one of the classic growing-up=Black memoirs (sorry, don't remember which one) who simply turned to the then-teenage author after he'd felt her up on the subway, grabbed his dick (smiling in his face the while) and twisted.

    In the olden time, "violated" was polite-speak for "raped", btw.
