We stand corrected: Chuck Berry was not the last of the O.G.s. We had no idea that "Little" Richard Penniman is still w/ us, & will hit 85 if he lives until December. I'd been laboring under the vague memory/impression that Richard had "passed" in the mid-'00s. (I may have conflated local news idiocy involving Richard & his Beverly Hills house w/ James Brown's death.)
Also not-dead is Jerry Lee Lewis, a mere 81, perhaps a G. (but no Original); some say before Jerry Lee went back to hillbilly music he was but a pale impersonation of Little Richard.
And Antoine "Fats" Domino, Jr. is 89 & almost a month.
