Dropping Like Flies Friday

May have to make this morbidity report a reg'lar feature, as the spawn of the WWII generation drop all around us like flies who just got a good squirt of Flit.

Questlove of the Roots once compared him to Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, calling him "one of the criminally unmentioned proprietors of socially conscious post-revolution '60s civil rights music."
As a one-time adulterer, I felt a certain kinship.Philly Soul!

    Townsend created the band to showcase songs written by former The Who chauffeur, also a drummer/singer/guitarist/songwriter, John "Speedy" Keen.
