Trident II D5 Missile Test Flight - The U.S. Navy conducted a successful test flight Feb. 22, 2012, of a Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) built by Lockheed Martin, the 137th successful test flight of the D5 missile since 1989. The Navy launched the unarmed missile from the submerged submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734) in the Atlantic Ocean as part of demonstration and shakedown operation 23 (DASO-23). (U.S. Navy video)
