Eh, I have a pox on both their houses. Tibet was the last country on the planet to have legalized slavery when the Chinese took them over. The reason the Tibetan army was so pathetic at resisting the Chinese invasion was that it was set up to put down slave uprisings, not fight foreign invasion. Unfortunately for them the skills needed to put down uprisings of unarmed slaves aren't exactly the skills needed to resist invasion by a modern army...
