There are no accidents.The wife of the Peachtree City police chief was shot Thursday morning, according to authorities, and the chief is on administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation.
At approximately 4:17 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, officers responded to the 100 block of Autumn Leaf in Peachtree City in reference to a person shot call.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Peachtree City Police Chief William E. McCollom called 911 to report that he had accidentally shot his wife twice with his service weapon.
