Solar Flare Report

"Missed it by that much."

We still aren't willing the apocalypse hard enough, it appears. Unlike hand grenades & horseshoes, close doesn't seem to count in solar flares.

Blah blah. Had not intended to mention it (Have read no more than the "Near Miss" headlines; why wallow in failure?) but today we happened to notice this coincidental (Or is it?) thing which made us wonderconvinced us the whole solar flare thing's as phony as tales of climate change caused by humanoids soiling the nest, & is merely a Mtn Dew®/7-Eleven® advertising stunt.
Do they think we're stupid? Do they? DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES, SHEEPLE!!!

    Don't get your hopes too high (although the 12% chance in the next ten years is encouraging).
    I believe they were being at least a little bit hyperbolic when they said such an event would send us back to the dark ages. Then again, I could be wrong.
