In The Ruins
Not un-like L.A.'s sister city, Berlin, some lots have been rubble for almost 40 yrs., since the end of the warearthquake.
And, horrors, a correction. At the very least we ignorantly implied this imposing edifice came directly after the 1910 "Crime of the Century" blowed up the Times real good, but the photo-essayed ruins were replaced in 1912 by the third Times bldg., the fascist fortress below being fourth & most recent.
