First World Problems Wrap-Up

Literal tie: 3 runs, 9 hits & 1 error for both the Dodgers & the Rockies, in the former Bums o' Brooklyn's last Arid Zone exhibition game ... Spring Training Notes: Have seen plenty of it, as the monthly pound (454 gr.) of flesh TimeWarnerCable extracts from me & other suckers has given the world the all-Dodger channel ... & Orel Hershisher as one of the new broadcast analysts. Barely tolerable once-a-wk.-ish on ESPN Sundays I have heard enough from the monotoned cliché & platitude spouter (Jesus freak, also, which may explain it) that I WILL CUT OUT HIS FUGGIN' TONGUE IF GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY!1! (Just relax world, who would ever in a million give me the opportunity? Did I say one thing about making an opportunity? No I did not, your honor.) ... Real World: Expecting bad case of carpal tunnel muting syndrome & a sore thumb w/ Orel at the mic ... Radio alternative to Steiner & Hersh (who will be the main tee vee broadcasters when the Bums are in the non-Scully zones, Mountain Time & east) are Rick "You bet your sweet ass I'm still wallowing in 'Saving the Flag' almost 40 yrs. later" Monday & Nomar Garciaparra ... meh ... so let's recap ... music is over, every note having been played to excess & combined into all possible chords, each of which has been played too many times ... all possible rhythms have been literally beaten into the ground ... Today's politics a waste of time & effort this is probably a good example of why, not that we've read a word beyond the headlines ... but if the reasoned dialogue & threats of violence around here haven't persuaded anyone it's definitely time to quit ... Sports: As inane & cliché-ridden as the existences of most of the people who enjoy sport un-ironically & all the boilerplate spewed by political gasbags ...
