Stealing Signs

Nope, not a baseball item. (Dodgers doing so well it might jinx them to mention it.) Like others, we're the type who'd steal a sign. A schmuck six wks. short of the big six-zero stealing traffic signs. Christ on a crutch. (Never grow up!!)

Fifth Amendment be damned, here's the incriminating evidence:
No chicken-butt middle-of-the-night job either; the middle of a Friday afternoon, at the busy corner of Wilshire & La Brea. Unbolted it from the barrier, stuffed it in a plastic bag which covered maybe half of it & rode the bus home. Must have been seen, if only by people at the bus stop. No one said a word.
Bolt, nut & washer. Had they been adequately tightened
we probably wouldn't have been able to help ourself.
Judging from the date it's fresh. Certainly looks shiny & new.
Crime may not pay, but you don't always get caught.

  3. They typically use a pretty decent grade of aluminum for those, so you could use it for all sorts of interesting projects. I used a large "curve" sign (sadly, legally acquired) to make an undercarriage/oil pan protector for my car.

  4. Also, "TMI"? Really? You'd think they'd notice a thing like that. Still, not quite as bad as Foster Auto Parts

  5. There used to be a sign like that (without the red circle and slash) in my neighborhood in Seattle, but someone had painted a guitar in the guy's arms. It rocked.
