End Nears For West

So far, only the American West is imperiled. (Thought it was a trend, it's just duplication.) Saloon had the better picture,
although truthdig wasn't far behind.

But don't click yet! The apparent source, TomDispatch, w/ introductory paragraph & the cover of the excerpted book.
Bigger picture longer term, in re "The West" (f/k/a Christendom) & everywhere the hell else, if we boil away the oceans of water & air there won't be anything to stew or boil in. Naturally Mailonline was on this mos. ago.Based on absolutely nothing, is, uh, mmmm ... carry the six, ... is, say, 2035 too conservative an estimate for all-out resource wars?

  1. The resource wars will start in places where there is only one source of fresh water, typically a river, the headwaters of which are outside the thirsty nation's sovereign borders. In specific, think the Blue Nile, where Ethiopia is building a dam and Sudan and Egypt are pretty sure they're going to have to blow it the hell up....

  3. Here. Let's try that again.

You mean like when Arizona sent the National Guard to attack California?

2035 may be a tich optimistic. 2060 should be do-able though.

There are other Mid-Eastern water fights brewing; can't remember exact details, but if those fools continue breeding ...
