Big League Lion

Just curious: Why is Major League Baseball pimping tix for The Lion King?

On a positive note, we no longer live w/in walking distance of the Pantages, & so will not be exposed to the crowds of bloated, 95% Anglo suburbanites that The Lion King attracted to Hollywood & Vine like moths to a flame on its first engagement there. Especially Saturdays, when they bring their awful mutant children to the matinees. Stay in your valleys, suburbians!

No, no you don't, but we're cursed w/a logical or rational mind & the connection escapes us. A Damn Yankees revival, sure. If Disney still owned the Angels, it could make sense.

But is this the right audience? Dudes don't watch The Lion King in their man-caves. (Certainly no doods we know do.)

All the other adverts we've gotten from MLB in a yr.+ have been for overpriced uniform/cap crap or overpriced view-every-game-ever-on-the-Internet-plan crap. We're confused.

I'm sure the furries rub one out to it in the privacy of their own homes every now and then.

    Eeeeek!! Entirely too much speculation.

Not sure furries qualify as "doods," either. (And certainly not as dudes.)
