Battleship Blogging (On A Sunday)
Something we did not know before our visit to the USS Iowa: The forward portion of the superstructure is a tower of 17-inch steel, w/ some flimsy enclosures wrapped around it. Note periscopes on top of it, & the peephole under the bridge. Imagine steering from here ... while someone looking through this directs you.
