Thank-you for posting this! Did y'all know she's probably Minnesota Fats' daughter (her mom was a prostitute)? In her early days on the road she had a pet monkey with a little tiny jean jacket - that's what I remember from her autobiography! Somebody made sure she always had an effing good band backing her up for recordings, guess that was her. Righteous woman, the best voice of her generation, got me through tough times far from home. Fare thee well.
