Clouds Over Culver City

  1. All through the states I stopped in places where street traffic was really down. I'd set the camera down in the middle of the road at night for a long exposure, setting the ten-second timer so I'd be finished jiggling the thing before the shot took place. While I am certain there were people who would have been happy to destroy the camera as well as myself, they just weren't around.

Compared to the rest of the country, Los Angeles proper seemed like it was in pretty good shape. Not that it isn't heading to hell in handbasket. Good luck.

  2. Exposure Ed.

Keeping a spot in hell very warm for latecomers.

Good shape or not, there are no neon-saturated/"interesting" urban settings where we'd leave the Brownie on the street ... in some parts of town by the time you hear an electric car it's too late.
