A read-a-thon by Harry Shearer on Jerry Lewis & the 1976 MDA telethon. The one where Sinatra brought Dino to make up or whatever w/ Jerry. We're curious as to the rag where it first appeared.

ReplyDeleteObviously it was decided they couldn't hire an individual in Jerry's vein to replace the Ham-in-Chief, so they went w/ talented co-hosts Nancy O’Dell, Nigel Lythgoe, Jann Carl and Alison Sweeney.
Ms. Carl, a one-time L.A. newshen, has been the telethon co-host for 18 yrs. Huh. She used to work on Entertainment Tonight, where O'Dell is the co-anchor.
Soap actress Sweeney shares a birfdate w/ us. Just a few yrs. later. (So much later that we could be her father!)
The limebag has something to do w/ tee vee dancing competitions.
Not a multi-talented entertainer among them. Figures.
