Also noting that Chrome has a new & better pop-up blocker. So far (Once, anyway.) it's stopped the pop, rather than merely minimizing it to the taskbar.
Whatever it was hasn't happened again. Usually Chrome puts pop-ups in the taskbar, w/o announcing how wonderful it is for it to have stopped one. (Almost as irky as an actual pop-up. Just do your job & shut up, we say.)
You could check the Chrome Web Store. Various "Ad-Block" apps or extensions or whatever they call 'em.
You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to have an attorney present while you are commenting. If you cannot afford an attorney, you are "Shit Outta Luck" (SOL). Anything you type here can & may be used against you in a court of law or in a personal "beat-down" administered by a staff member or "associate" of this "web log."

In Firefox I use the indispensable Tab Mix Plus, which in combination with adblockers and other stuff completely eliminates popups and so on.
ReplyDeleteIf there's a Chrome Tab Mix plus I might look into it, but otherwise that's what keeps me with Mozilla.
