No More, But ...
What about those who use the Mullholland Drive bridge that's just been knocked down? Aren't those poor bastards going to be "Carmageddon'd" until a new bridge is constructed? And if the other side won't be demolished for another 11 mos., when will there be a new overpass? We're somewhat surprised more nasty rich hill-dwellers haven't been bitching.

I recently realized this whole Carmageddon think was forced by a local gated community in the Sepulveda pass who apparently have "aesthetic issues" with the new bridge....whatever. And as it turned out, Carmageddon wasn't so bad. But still.....this whole thing had to do with kow-towing to an affluent community over bullshit.
ReplyDeleteI feel more sympathetic to the folks at the Skirball Center who are probably going to have a hard time attracting visitors to their museum this summer, than the fucking rich assholes in gated communities nearby.
Hey - wasn't it funny that almost immediately after the 405 re-opened, there was an accident involving a Range Rover at the gate of one of those subdivisions? Hilarious!
