Revisionism

So, the ceremonies marking the 67th anniv. of the Pearl Harbor attack focused, for some reason (we know what it is, really) on the response to the attack. As if Doolittle's Tokyo raid has anything to do w/ the occupation of Iraq.

Unlike past observances, which focused on the attack itself, this year's remembrance ceremony focused on the aftermath, including the B-52 bomber raid on Tokyo led by Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle.

We might point out to AP reporter Herbert A. Sample that Doolittle's pilots flew B-25s, not B-52s, but it might be a simple transposition error. Or the editor's a moron. Or they're all historically ignorant. Or, or, or...

UPDATE (Moments later): The AP has updated as well, lengthened their story, added pictures, & fixed the B-52 inaccuracy. Good for them.
