Unlike past observances, which focused on the attack itself, this year's remembrance ceremony focused on the aftermath, including the B-52 bomber raid on Tokyo led by Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle.
We might point out to AP reporter Herbert A. Sample that Doolittle's pilots flew B-25s, not B-52s, but it might be a simple transposition error. Or the editor's a moron. Or they're all historically ignorant. Or, or, or...
UPDATE (Moments later): The AP has updated as well, lengthened their story, added pictures, & fixed the B-52 inaccuracy. Good for them.
