It's the 100th birthday of Richard Wright, author of
Black Boy &
Native Son, two books that many middle-class Anglo youth read in high school during the '60s. Who knows if they're still taught today. (Or if anything at all is taught today? Our immediate guess is no, but we're cynical.)
