Ouch!!
Eurocorrespondent Sophia, whose devil-box died on her not too long ago, has now been hit by a truck while (we believe) riding a bicycle supplied by Clear Channel, & has her arm in plaster. (And we bitch about our existence.) Or maybe she wasn't doing anything at all & the truck hit her. It's not easy typing one handed (No, that's not what we meant, pervs!!) & she may not have wanted to list all the gory details. What details there are, are in the comments here.
And, it gives us a chance to post some lyrics from close personal acquaintance Richard Meltzer (Whose lyrics to "Burnin' For You" we heard twice today on the radio. Happy royalties, Ricardo!!)

The publisher thanks Google/Bugger for denecessitating verification. (Not that we need explain anything to anyone.)
Doesn't Clear Channel run like half the radio stations in the US? Why would they supply Sophia a bicycle? This is all very confusing.

ReplyDeleteShe was on foot when hit, it turns out, but Clear Channel is offering free (or cheap) bicycles for use in Barcelona, probably as an advertising medium. Free or inexpensive bikes all over town, pick one up at one spot & leave it at another, are big in Europe, where they have common sense.
