That scene around the pool with a dress on, pearl necklace, earrings is my fave!! Course, I don't know what was said in these scenes, as I had the sound off. Did I miss sumin' special? I didn't think so.
Pool Reporter: I had a pool party for my birthday (1962, maybe). One of my school friends got in too deep & started thrashing about; his mother, in a dress & (possibly) wearing pearls jumped right in to save her little darling.
It was a different time. All the mothers at the party were dressed about like the ones in the adverts. My mother wouldn't go into San Francisco w/o pearls & white gloves, because that was what a "lady" wore to go anywhere but local shopping, & that was that.
