Today In Morbidity: Mose Allison

Mose Allison, 11 November 1927-15 November 2016. Just made 89, only stopped gigging four yrs. ago. This one is esp. pertinent in the current environment, innit?The NYT in its obit:
“In the South, I’m considered an advanced bebop type,” he told DownBeat magazine in 1958. “In New York, I’m considered a country blues-folk type. Actually, I don’t think I’m either. Maybe I’m a little of both.”
