History Flies Past

From the not-very-extensive M. Bouffant collection.
I remember, 'though not terribly well, because I wasn't so old (or interested) the centennial of the surrender of the traitors. Now, a mere 50 yrs. on, it's the sesquicentennial of the slavers' surrender.

    Oddly, I don't remember anybody even mentioning it. I don't think my family was deep into history n shit...
