in Manhattan Apartment: Police

Police recovered a gun, which they found near the body.

Police haven't ruled out calling the death a suicide. They are questioning Gilbert's son, Thomas Gilbert Jr., who was the only other person in the apartment at the time of the shooting, police said. No charges have been filed.
