L.A.P.D. vs. N.Y.P.D.

Dog Bites Man, Cops Shoot Man: Hardly "news", but at least the L.A.P.D. has better aimers. Love the Catch-22 in N.Y.C. last yr.:
Officers shot two bystanders in Times Square while attempting to shoot an unarmed, seemingly unstable man who was weaving through traffic in Manhattan’s high-traffic tourist mecca. They then charged the man with assault for causing the officers to shoot the bystanders.
How about charging the officers for criminal negligence? And their superiors, for putting poorly-trained trigger-happy idiots on the street?

By the way, the L.A.P.D. officer didn't "shoot & kill" the knife-wielding tourist terrorizer. What happened?
“When he saw the officers, he approached them and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” Detective Meghan Aguilar told KTLA.
You know, shootings just "occur" w/o human any agency at all, whatsoever. Detective Aguilar should listen to herself spewing mindlessly. And then she should go fuck herself. Euphemistically, of course.

  1. The NRA is fond of saying that guns don't just magically go off all by themselves and kill people, that it takes a human (or other agency) pulling the trigger. They apparently have never listened to a police spokesperson after one of these incidents.
