Ancient Technology Editor I am vile & evil, but I am not a litterbug!! And perfectly capable of using a dumpster. (Not fool enough to document my litter if I were a litterer.)
Not my shoes, box o' "big" rubbers, or tennis ball can either.
Iron Oxides Ed.: Worked at a tee vee station in the mid-'70s; the Chief Engineer was always complaining that the heads of our ancient-even-then VR-1000s spinning at 14,400rpm caused a hum.
"the magnetic tape guy" Vast 8-track collection? (Still have a shitpile of cassettes myself.)
Nah, I worked on the data side. Half inch 3480s and TK-50s, along with 9 track reels, giving way to QIC, and eventually 4mm DAT DDS and 8mm Exabyte. And then came optical discs, the internet and all of a sudden being a dood who knew how to do arcane shit was worth spit. My life as a bell curve.
