Legal Fireworks?

We spit on legal fireworks in the hap'nin parts of town. It doesn't put them out, though.

I was Silver Lake barbeque-ing, & while I've never been in a war zone it absolutely sounded like non-stop artillery in the distance, except when the guy next to next door shot off two that exploded maybe 35-50 ft. directly above our heads. Then it just sounded like pyrotechnics.

New this yr.: Things that explode & then spin through the sky whistling & screeching like an incoming (movie or telebision) round.
