This Is Beyond Tiresome
Enough w/ this wide-eyed victim-of-capitalism urchin & ragamuffin of the favelas bullshit.
Fuck FIFA. Can't they all just play to a draw & go home? If not, maybe some shitty little country can have a war w/ some other shitty little country over the results. Assholes.

But not everyone is happy with the World Cup: here is a painted sign from favela residents telling Fifa their feelings about the tournament.
ReplyDeleteDood, we got plenty of wars to keep us entertained already. Especially the one in Syria that spilled over into Iraq, replete with medieval savagery. That one's a hoot a minute.
ReplyDeleteThen there's the election blow-up in Afghanistan that's probably going to leave Hamid "Just leave the money by the door" Karzai in power until the Jihadis behead his greedy Pashtun ass.
Then there's China, waving it's big "HEY! We got us some actual military capability here, so fuck you all" boner around the South and East China Seas.
And don't sleep on the new PM in India, Narendra Modi. He's got nuclear weapons and he really, REALLY doesn't like Muslims.
I mean, yeah, you're right that a couple of border wars in South America or a full-blown revolution/civil war in Mexico would be great show biz, but in the end Brazil would just end up kicking everybody elses ass and that would be kinda boring...

ReplyDeleteWell, there aren't enough for me, sitting here safely bunkered & desperate for entertainment/schadenfreude.
(Speaking of entertainment, no sign of that sign.)
Brasil does have the advantage down there, although it looks like the rest of the continent (barely) outnumbers them now. Used to be more Brazilians than everyone else combined.
