G+ hasn't hurt us yet, but we don't participate much/have never used it, really. We do keep getting that suggestion in YouTube.
You should visit google.com/dashboard & see what they have on/about you.
We, for example, have almost 9,000 images in ex-Picasa, & those are just pictures from this web log.
