Move Over, Rover

'Bout time some of the old farts left & made room for the web-logging yout'!! First Doghouse Riley (Too soon?) now we read in our bogroll [sic] that TBogg is giving it up. Not living, just web-logging. And our being several yrs. older than TB is no reason not to consider us part of the upcoming wave of yout'.

Bullshit aside, we're a bit disappointed. When T & Mrs. Bogg showed at the Wonkit gathering of the tribesboozehounds (a two-and-a-half hr. drive from Dago) last June, we figured there might be, maybe, an announcement that he was leaving the pit of vipers that is firedoglake & taking his Amazon wish list to Wonket. Guess not. (Maybe we should, oh, read whatever TBogg has actually typed & see what the deal is before going off half-cockedmaking further assumptions.)

Still, you see what happens when your iNternet heroes & idols have so-called lives, w/ jobs, families & other such petty bourgeois crap? Not to be trusted. You want to invest in an orphaned, single web-logger w/o work or any distracting outside interests that can't be subsumed by the web-log, People attached to baggage will just take their bags & leave you in the lurch, but people who really have nothing left to life (but a pair of glassy eyes) will be typing until their head drops on the keyboard for the last time. (Of course, in the real world, those literally w/o baggage are the likeliest to up & leave you. Oh, metaphor.)

P.S.: Who'll be first to tar him w/ the Sarah Palin "Quitter" brush?

Mere mins later: The well-preserved TBogg claims to have been older than 59-yr. old Doghouse, so the staff here (three mos. older) is relative youth. Time flies.
