Is This Safe?
No. If we know anything it's that this is a fire hazard:
Blah blah sympathies expressed (No, really.) but we have to wonder, were landlines working through all this or were their generators/lines flooded too? Whatever. Either way, people need juice.

A buok? I've heard about them. I don't think they need batteries.

Landlines typically hold up better than wireless networks OR power grids but with something like this all bets are off.
*Those wall warts are low voltage out and don't draw much current. That's really not as bad as it looks.

Those are only adapters mostly; you can touch your tongue to the kind of juice they're drawing.

Flooded basement 'phone rooms probably not ideal.
iPhone chargers do 5 volts, might do an amp or two. Not FUN to lick, but perfectly lickable.

This was my friend General Hershey Bar his friends name was General Wastmorland but he's dead now he never showed up anymore so we knew he died PEOPLE SAID HE WAS CRAZY BOY WERE THEY WRONG!
