Our D.A. Is An Anti-First Amendment Asshole

No surprise, there probably isn't a District Attorney anywhere in these United Snakes who isn't a pin-dicked asshole. (Female D.A.s are just as evil, & doubtless compensating for something, just not a pin-dick.) It's in the job description.

But Carmen Trutanich is just plain stupid, as well as constitutionally unaware.
In 2007, Gheorghiu's problems came to a head with his first adult felony arrest. Responding to Smear's graffiti on buses, L.A. County sheriff's deputies raided his home. A graffiti vandalism conviction resulted in a 40-month suspended prison sentence, three years' probation and about $28,000 in restitution for scrawling on buses.

Gheorghiu remains on probation because he has paid off only about $5,000 of his fines.
Tell us, Carmen, wouldn't it make sense (And comply w/ that pesky First Amendment?) to let the guy sell his art so he can pay off his "fine?"

    That is a dumbass "Catch-22" situation. How the hell can he make restitution without earning power?

You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to have an attorney present while you are commenting. If you cannot afford an attorney, you are "Shit Outta Luck" (SOL). Anything you type here can & may be used against you in a court of law or in a personal "beat-down" administered by a staff member or "associate" of this "web log."
