You ever see the footage of him playing the TAMI show at the Santa MOnica Civic? It's like 1966 or something. The only copy is a crappy kinescope, but he's awesome.
Oh yes. Saw it on the big screen in a neighborhood theater in San Francisco about 30 yrs. ago.
Brought liquor, & had so much fun hooting & stomping in my seat that the woman in front of me turned around & asked if I'd been at the shoot or something. (Not that old, but theater was dark, of course.)
Caught JB live in '86 or '87 at the Street Scene, in front of City Hall. Still on it 20 yrs. after the above!
