You read it there first. No longer are we hated "for our freedoms," now we're hated because we recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It's the usual mental echo technique, stringing reactionary shibboleths together w/ little regard for logical connection, & doesn't really mean anything, but the imaginative (Us!) may note that if jihadis want to kill us for "honoring the flag," they are just like dirty fucking hippie liberals (Us!) to whom the Pledge is anathema (Under gawd our ass!) as
noted last Thursday.
Well if "by honoring our flag and that for which it stands" means bombing people and taking their stuff, maybe he has a point.
