A guy once took the trouble to walk out of his barber shop & threaten to "kick my [17-yr. old] ass" for wearing red white & blue bowling shoes w/ a couple of white stars on them.

And I think Houston was where I first heard of the police using "throw-down" guns after they'd plugged someone.

It sho' nuff hasn't improved much in the 45(!) intervening yrs.M. Well, it seeme...I once lived for a decade in Texas. Well, it seemed like a decade, but it was only 12 months. It was a really bizarre 12 months, filled with drunk cops shooting out traffic lights at 3am in the morning, ranchers shooting at kayakers on Texas rivers and occasionally executing Messicans (for which they were fined less than if they'd shot a dog), and sober Texas politicians claiming that it was okay to be mean to poor children because they chose to be born to poor parents and should have chose better parents. It was like bizarro world. And this story doesn't surprise me one bit.
BadTuxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01345749557330760251noreply@blogger.com
