We Are All Fucked, Good & Hard

Further to the item immediately below:
Ryan Cooper / The Week:
The Republican plot to devour retirees' nest eggs  —  Perhaps the most monstrous thing about the American medical system — and the bar for that title is high indeed — is predatory billing.  —  A great many medical providers adjust their prices based on how defenseless the patient is …
And from another "crank":

Thanks, New York Times, for compromising away seniors’ Social Security income

How about some child abuse? You'll note this rat bastard Republican brutalized his own son; now he wants to hurt everybody else's. Fucking thug.
Tierney Sneed / Talking Points Memo:
GOP Rep's Vision Of Post-ACA World: You Wait To Treat Your Kid's Broken Arm  —  A Republican congressman outlined the way he would like to see the health care system operate if Obamacare is repealed, as GOP lawmakers are promising.  It is a brave new world in which parents would wait …

Plus which also too, 'bout an hr. later:
Nearing retirement age? Sucks to be you. One of the Reps. whose office made it seem like he might be opposed to Paul Ryan's Medicare Phaseout plan, Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA), is actually clearly in favor - though he says he wants to see the precise details.
Yes yes, this is "old" news, but that doesn't make it any less relevant. Or less horrrifying. These bastards are pointing a gun at me; I have every right to stand my ground & shoot back. (And not w/ any sissy "votes", either.)

Paul Krugman / New York Times:
How Many People Just Voted Themselves Out of Health Care?  (Updated) (Updated again) (And again)  —  My original update was right!  Screwed up dates.  So it's back to around 5 1/2 million Trump chumps.  —  As Greg Sargent points out, the choice of Tom Price for HHS probably means the death of Obamacare.
Only a slight indication above of their destructive plans for your Social Security, of course.

Next year is definitely not going to be a good time to be sick.

It's going to get ugly.

I knew a guy who worked for HHS a while back. He said that HHS was working day and night to sue the ACA so deeply into the health care system that there'd be no way to just yank it out.

We'll see.

Maybe it will yank loose once they take a hammer to Medicare.
