Today In Religious Lunacy: "Dios 666"

All of which lead to this:

Woman arrested after tagging church with '666', assaulting officer with crucifix

HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Police have arrested a 54-year-old woman who was allegedly witnessed writing the numbers "666" multiple times on a Haverhill church.

Amarellis Cermeno, of Haverhill, was arrested after a witness said the woman was writing "666" in black marker on La Iglesia Biblica Bautista, formerly known as Portland Street Baptist Church at 29 Portland Street in Haverhill. The number "666" is most often used as a reference to the Devil or anti-Christ in popular culture.

That witness was able to take a photograph of Cermeno, who was walking the streets with a large crucifix and wheeling around a suitcase with an American flag.

After receiving the report of the vandalism at the church, Haverhill Police were able to locate Cermeno on Main and Winter Streets Tuesday where she tried to strike a an officer, Detective Sgt. Dana Burrill, with her crucifix multiple times. Officers were able to subdue and arrest Cermeno without incident, according to the police department.

It was later determined that Cermeno's crucifix was stolen from a nativity scene that was vandalized at another Haverhill church, Sacred Hearts Church, which had the statue of a baby Jesus stolen and replaced with a pig's head Dec. 26.

It was unclear if Cermeno had anything to do with leaving the pig's head at Sacred Hearts Church or the theft of the baby Jesus statute. Haverhill Police say that investigation remains open.

Cermeno was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property over $250, disorderly conduct, destruction of a place of worship, and resisting arrest. She was held without bail and will be arraigned in Haverhill District Court Wednesday.

America's Exceptional Gun/Lunatic Culture & Double Standard

Exactly how much horror & injustice is my sensitive psyche supposed to take from you fucking monsters before I follow the lead of this monster & her reaction to living in a nation filled w/ people who look like her?
Contributed Photo/Times Free Press.
Jennifer Clouse was standing in her yard Friday in her quiet Hixson neighborhood when she saw a woman quickly drive past her house holding a gun out of the window as if it were a cigarette.

"She was just casually holding a gun, and wearing a baseball hat," said Clouse, who lives on Cloverdale Drive. "It was crazy. ... This is a pretty quiet area."

Clouse said the woman drove past her house, ignoring the stop sign and turning right onto Norcross Drive.

"I saw the gun and said to myself, 'I'm going to go inside,'" Clouse said.

Next, she heard police sirens and watched through windows as multiple police cars chased after the woman down the hill.

From inside her house, Clouse said she heard the scream of sirens throughout her neighborhood.

"Then, all of a sudden, the sirens stopped," she said.

Clouse did not recognize the driver, but the woman arrested for attempted murder, Julia Shields, 45, lived just up the street at 1504 Cloverdale Drive.

Police said Shields, blonde and wearing body armor, raced through the neighborhood, past well-manicured lawns and simple brick houses, firing multiple shots out her window at people and cars.

Chattanooga police officers received a report of shots fired at 1300 Cloverdale and arrived at 3:52 p.m. Friday, according to a news release.

Officers found two people who said they were at a stop sign when a woman pulled up in a dark-colored sedan and fired shots into their vehicle, hitting and disabling the radiator.

Then more calls reported a woman pointing a firearm at people as she passed them in her car, and that she fired at another vehicle in the same area. Police found Shields sitting in her vehicle in the Stuart Heights Baptist Church Parking lot on Hixson Pike, the release stated.

Shields sped away in her car and led officers on a chase down Highway 153 and Hixson Pike, still pointing her firearm at vehicles she passed.

Eventually, officers stopped and arrested Shields at Cloverdale Drive and Koblan Drive, near the spot where the shootings occurred and just blocks from her house. She pointed her firearm at an officer, but was taken into custody without incident or injury, the release stated.

Shields has been charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, seven counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, felony evading arrest and felony reckless endangerment.

Shields is being held at the Hamilton County Jail, and as of Saturday night her bond had not been set. She will appear before General Sessions Judge Gary Starnes on Jan. 5.

"Vigorous Protest" To Limeys

WED 27 DEC 1939
Department of State dispatches "vigorous protest" to British Foreign Office concerning the British practice of removing and censoring U.S. mail from British and U.S. and neutral ships (see 2 January 1940).

U.S. Consul General in Hamburg Keblinger reports that German prize control authorities have released all but seven neutral vessels detained in German ports for the evaluation of cargo deemed contraband.

U.S. freighter Oakwood, en route from Gibraltar to Genoa, is intercepted by French naval vessel and diverted to Villefranche after boarding officer mistakes notation in log as an order to proceed to Marseilles. Once the mistake is realized, the ship is released to proceed on her way within a few hours.

Good News: Evolution Continues Apace!

Or even the best news ever for the planet if it pans out. Current mortality? 100%.
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A new virus thought to be carried by ticks or other insects has been discovered following the death of a southeast Kansas resident during the summer, public health officials said Monday.

The new virus is called Bourbon virus, after Bourbon County, home of the patient who died. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said the patient's symptoms, including fever and fatigue, were similar to symptoms from other tick-borne diseases.

The Kansas health department said testing by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed that the patient had a virus not previously identified. Health department spokeswoman Aimee Rosenow said it's still not clear how much the Bourbon virus contributed to the patient's death.

"This was the first known instance and the only confirmed case," Rosenow said. "This is a new virus, and we are still learning."

The health department declined to identify the victim of the virus or provide details about the case, saying it was protecting the privacy of the patient and family members.

The department said there's no specific vaccine or treatment for the disease from the Bourbon virus but described the risk as "minimal" during the winter, given health officials' belief that it is transmitted through tick or insect bites.

The health agency also suggested the same precautions outdoors for avoiding other tick- and insect-borne illnesses. Those include using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants, and avoiding wooded and busy areas with high grass or leaf litter.

Alas, sad cop-out at the end (nonetheless, a good list of many beyond-a-reasonable-doubt reasons to string up Bill O'Reilly & others of his ilk).
We can blame Sean Hannity for his repeated support of Cliven Bundy's "range war" against the BLM, which eventually motivated Jerad and Amanda Miller to kill five people in Las Vegas after participating in the Bundy standoff and declaring, "If they're going to come bring violence to us, well, if that's the language they want to speak, we'll learn it." And, of course, we can blame Rudy Giuliani and the entire conservative movement for their virtually unanimous indifference to the state-sanctioned police killings of black suspects over minor offenses in Ferguson and Staten Island, which apparently motivated the murder of the New York police officers on Saturday.

Or wait. Maybe we can't do any of those things. Maybe lots of people support lots of things, and we can't twist that generalized support into blame for maniacs who decide to take up arms for their own demented reasons. Maybe that's a better idea after all.
"Generalized" support. Just an off-the-cuff remark or two here & there. Both sides do it, you know. Ha ha.

For the short attention spanners:

Murdered Americans: "Propaganda"?

The blood of every person killed by the N.Y.P.D. during
Giuliani's terms as mayor is on those hands, & don't you forget it.
The Mayor of 9/11 opens his lying & denying yap. Luckily I was on the other side of country; had I been in the studio there would have been blood. IS THERE NO OUTRAGE?
"We've had four months of propaganda, starting with the president, that everybody should hate the police," said Giuliani during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday." "I don't care how you want to describe it -- that's what those protests are all about."
Ay-rabs 9/11-ing N.Y.C. is deserving of a decade+ of fear-mongering & fascism from this sack of garbage, but when the pigs 9/11 the people of New York it's "propaganda." "Die in a fire you cousin-marrying bastard" isn't a strong enough threat/provocation, but I don't care to be murdered by the F.B.I. during an "interrogation". Unless I can take more of them w/ me. Whatever. Who wants to live under the Gestapo anyway?

Well Well, The Executioner's Hood Is On The Other Head Now, Isn't It?

Apparently the heat can't take the heat when it comes back at them. I will remind the filth that hypocrisy is the greatest sin.
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – Police union officials blasted Mayor Bill de Blasio Saturday, saying the blood of two NYPD cops who were shot and killed in Brooklyn is on his hands.

“There’s blood on many hands tonight. Those that incited violence on the streets under the guise of protest that tried to tear down what NYPD officers did every day. We tried to warn it must not go on, it cannot be tolerated,” Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said. “That blood on the hands starts at City Hall in the office of the mayor.”

“Those who allowed this to happen will be held accountable,” he added*.

The Sergeants Benevolent Association tweeted: “The blood of 2 executed police officers is on the hands of Mayor de Blasio. May God bless their families and may they rest in peace.”
I have a pretty good idea of who should resign here. Right before they're fired for insubordination & relieved of their pensions.
*Those responsible are the two dead losers who were sleeping in their car, & they've already paid for their mistake of joining the force. Now what about stricter gun regulation, so crazed & convicted felons can't administer justice the same way the police do? Oh, that's too soon?

MOMENTS LATER: Hey, tomorrow's related news today:
Tunisians vote on Sunday in a presidential run-off election that completes the country’s last steps to full democracy nearly fours years after the uprising that toppled autocrat Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali.

With a new progressive constitution and a full parliament elected in October, Tunisia is hailed as an example of democratic change for a region still struggling with the aftermath of the 2011 Arab Spring revolts.

Admiral Graf Spee's Former Commanding Officer, Kapitan zur See Hans Langsdorff Scuttles Himself

WED 20 DEC 1939
Submarine tender Bushnell (AS-2), operating out of Tutuila, Samoa, as a survey ship under the auspices of the Hydrographic Office, completes Pacific Island surveys, having covered a total of 76,000 nautical square miles since commencing that work on 1 July.

Heavy cruiser Tuscaloosa (CA-37) disembarks scuttled German passenger liner Columbus's "distressed mariners" at Ellis Island, New York City.

Destroyer Twiggs (DD-127), on neutrality patrol in Yucatan Channel, relieves Evans (DD-78) of duty trailing British RFA tanker Patella.

German armored ship Admiral Graf Spee's former commanding officer, Kapitan zur See Hans Langsdorff, commits suicide at Montevideo, Uruguay.

U.S. freighter Exochorda arrives at Naples with the 45 tons of tin plate condemned by the British prize court at Gibraltar among her cargo, having been permitted to sail by her master's agreeing to ship the 45 tons of tin to Marseilles from Genoa. Another 100 tons of tin, however, consigned to a Swiss buyer, are put on the "detained list" and held in Genoa at the disposal of the British consul. That turn of affairs prompts U.S. Ambassador in Italy William Phillips, to take up the matter with the British Ambassador, who expresses his awareness of the "irritation and resentment ... in American commercial and shipping circles" over the seemingly "arbitrary, careless, and casual" methods shown by the British contraband control people.

U.S. freighters Oakwood, bound for Genoa, Italy, and Executive, bound for Greece, Turkey, and Rumania, are detained by British authorities at Gibraltar (see 23 December 1939 and 3 January 1940, respectively).

No One Is Innocent

“When a police officer citizen is murdered by a police officer it tears at the foundation of our society. It is an attack on all of us, it is an attack on all we hold dear,” DeBlasio explaineddid not say*. “Our entire city was attacked by this heinous individual," Ossifer Pantaleo, DeBlasio failed to add.

Also, if the Commissioner of Police would please just bugger off:
Brinsley, who had a long criminal record, also shot his girlfriend earlier that morning in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Commissioner Bratton said that Brinsely’s motivations were not clear, but alluded to Instagram postings that betrayed a strong anti-police bias. He lamented the “anti police, anti-criminal justice system, anti-societal initiatives underway” in many parts of the country, referring to the protests sparked after two unarmed black men, Michael Brown and Eric Garner, were killed by police officers who were later not indicted for their murders.

*Very clever "did not say" bit stolen wholesale from the estimable tengrain of Mock Paper Scissors, but you probably knew that.

Today In The Hoover Building

Will law enforcement agencies ever make even the slightest effort NOT TO HIRE INCOMPETENT AUTHORITARIAN JERKWADS? Just a few to balance the pin-dicked compensators & bullies who can't even competently enforce a legal system that primarily serves & protects the power structure?

The F.B.I. (high alleged standards, low fucking reality) apparently can't get the admittedly difficult (unless you've ever watched a fucking "crime drama" on television or read a fucking law book) concept of how the law & rules of evidence work across to its "highly trained & professional" Special Agents:
The evidence collection and retention system is the backbone of the F.B.I.’s investigative process, and the report said it is beset by problems. It also found that the F.B.I. was storing more weapons, less money and valuables, and two tons more drugs than its records had indicated.

The report’s findings, based on a review of more than 41,000 pieces of evidence in F.B.I. offices around the country, could have consequences for criminal investigations and prosecutions. Lawyers can use even minor record-keeping discrepancies to get evidence thrown out of court, and the F.B.I. was alerting prosecutors around the country on Friday that they may need to disclose the errors to defendants.
This gross incompetence of course gives us great confidence in the F.B.I.'s assertion that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea had anything to do w/ the so-fucking-what SONY hack.

Also could the government (esp. law enforcement) maybe once get & use a computer system that works?
Many of the problems cited in the report appear to be hiccups in the F.B.I.’s transition to a computer system known as Sentinel, which went online in 2012 and was intended to move the bureau away from a case-management system based on paper files. But other problems, including materials that disappeared or were taken from F.B.I. evidence rooms and not returned, are more serious.

“A majority of the errors identified were due in large part to human error, attributable to a lack of training and program management oversight,” auditors wrote in the report, which was obtained by The New York Times.
Yep, garbage in garbage out, the ultimate cause remains humanoid incompetence, compounded by all the arrogance to be expected from pin-dicks given guns & badges.

The C.I.A., however, has its shit together. (In little round balls kept in its drawers.)

9-1-1 & the National Security State; both sad fucking jokes. Ha-ha right until incompetence kills another few thousand (or million) of the sheep.

Enough

Columbus Scuttled

TUE 19 DEC 1939
British destroyer HMS Hyperion intercepts German passenger liner Columbus 450 miles east of Cape May, New Jersey; the latter is scuttled to prevent capture. Two crewmen perish in the abandonment. Heavy cruiser Tuscaloosa (CA-37) rescues Columbus's survivors (567 men and 9 women stewardesses) and sets course for New York City, the only U.S. port that can handle such a large and sudden influx of aliens.

British light cruiser HMS Orion intercepts German freighter Arauca off Miami, Florida; the latter puts in to Port Everglades to avoid capture. Destroyer Truxtun (DD-229) has trailed the merchantman at one point; destroyer Philip (DD-76) is present when Arauca reaches sanctuary. USAAC B-18 (21st Reconnaissance Squadron), however, witnesses the shot that Orion fires over Arauca's bow (in the attempt to force the latter to heave-to) splashing inside American territorial waters off Hialeah, Florida. Learning of this incident, Secretary of State Cordell Hull instructs U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James Joseph P. Kennedy to remind the British Foreign Office that, as neutrals, the American republics are entitled to have their waters "free from the commission of any hostile act by any non-American belligerent nation." The U.S. Navy eventually commissions Arauca as refrigerated storeship Saturn (AF-40).

U.S. freighter Nishmaha is free to sail from Marseilles to continue her voyage, but port conditions and weather prevent her from sailing as scheduled.

Today In Suburbia:
Whining Asshole "Victims"

A guy in Pennsylvania doesn't like his fucking moron neighbors; see how they reacted to his self-expression & you'll understand why.
“There was a Virgin Mary here, and he placed a knife through her head, right there on the edge of our driveway,” Joanne Hebda told “20/20.” “I thought it was a terroristic threat.”
Jesus, Joanne, get your head out of your ass & stop throwing around words like "terroristic" as if they have any meaning beyond your pathetic fear of whatever you're a-feared of. Which is what, exactly?

Ah, now the rest of the story: An Xmas display asshole before people got sick of his irritating bullshit & told him to knock it off.
Years ago, Ansell's home was known for its lustrous lights and dazzling display that attracted many onlookers.

But one Thanksgiving, Ansell's neighbor Pamela Heck was so blinded by the lights that she asked him to turn them off while her family had dinner.

“It was very unpleasant between us after that,” Heck told “20/20.”

From that minor dispute grew a war, according to neighbors.
Asshole called on asholery becomes bigger asshole. P.S.: Not a fucking "war," not terror either, rancid suburban property-owners.

Hoping for a Cliven Bundy Fuck the Government shoot-out here, once the alleged nanny-state does something. (How's that "democracy" working out for ya on Fairley Road, jerks?)
Ansell wouldn't speak to “20/20,” but two years ago, he told Pittsburgh's WPXI-TV, “I used to have a beautiful Christmas display, they hated it. This is my display now. I don't think it's against the law to exercise your right to have your own display.”

The Fairley Road homeowners say they are at their wits end. They have repeatedly called police and complained to the township Board of Commissioners, but so far say they have seen little done. Ross Township has fined Ansell for local code violations, and in a statement to "20/20," the Ross Township said they have "taken and will continue to take appropriate legal action."

“The Township has taken and will continue to take appropriate legal action,” said Grant Montgomery, president of the Ross Board of Commissioners, in a statement to ABC News.

In August 2014, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, upheld a court order requiring Bill Ansell to clean up his yard and take down the vulgar signs.

To date, Ansell has not complied and township officials won’t say if and how it will enforce the order.
Fucking children begging for a nanny state. "Make the bad man take down his vulgar signs, nanny!" Just who the fuck are these people, Kim Jong-Un? "Suck it up" & "put on your big-boy pants" to use two incredibly idiotic admonitions that suburbanites like this love to apply to the actual victims of their society & its non-stop abuse of the powerless.

Nation Of Sheep, Nation Of Sheep ...

Meanticut Released

MON 18 DEC 1939
Destroyers Greer (DD-145) and Upshur (DD-144) relieve destroyers Ellis (DD-154) and Cole (DD-155) of shadowing German passenger liner Columbus. Later that same day, heavy cruiser Tuscaloosa (CA-37) replaces the destroyers in trailing the passenger ship.

U.S. freighter Meanticut, detained by British authorities at Gibraltar the previous day, is released.

When Can We Just Up &
Start Killing The Stupid People?

My patience is at an end. (How many times have I been so astonished & outraged I've typed that? Rendered meaningless by repetition.) America's fucking morons are now chopping off their own ugly noses to spite their idiot faces.
The IRS is considering its own temporary shutdown due to recent budget cuts enacted by Congress ...
Do the cretins who voted to reduce I.R.S. funding understand whence their undeserved salaries come?

Also retarded, as in very slow to catch on: Sen. Marco Rubio (R-1959).
Previous tiresome idiocy about Cuba from Fla.'s gift to the Senate.
