Class Warfare Time Again

Fuck India & their criminal, labor-exploiting consul.
NEW DELHI — The arrest and alleged strip search of an Indian diplomat in New York City escalated into a major diplomatic furor Tuesday as India’s national security adviser called the woman’s treatment “despicable and barbaric.”
Keep it up, hypocrites. How safe did you say riding your buses is?
Devyani Khobragade, India’s deputy consul general in New York, is accused of submitting false documents to obtain a work visa for her Manhattan housekeeper. Indian officials said she was arrested and handcuffed Thursday as she dropped off her daughter at school, and was kept in a cell with drug addicts before posting $250,000 bail.

A senior Indian official confirmed reports that she also was strip-searched, which has been portrayed in India as the most offensive and troubling part of the arrest. The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.

Her U.S. attorney said he didn’t know if she was strip-searched. Federal authorities said they were looking into the arrest.
Fuck you & your caste system & your hypocrisies. Being strip-searched is not not not the same as being gang-raped & murdered on a city bus.

For the five zillionth time (& stop making me repeat myself) I remind every one of you, world-wide: There is no greater sin than hypocrisy, & no evil deserves a more terrible punishment. (Santa's making a list of the two-faced, & you don't want him dropping a "lump of coal" down your chimney from 30,000 ft.)

As one example, I despise crap like this (in part because it makes these United Snakes look good):
That reaction may look outsized in the United States, but the case touches on a string of issues that strike deeply in India, where the fear of public humiliation resonates strongly and heavy-handed treatment by the police is normally reserved for the poor. For an educated, middle-class woman to face public arrest and a strip search is almost unimaginable, except in the most brutal crimes.
How then is it that a woman being gang-raped/murdered in the back of a bus is not in any way "humiliating?" Let's put them & their monkey-gawd caste system out of their fucking misery so we needn't hear crap like this ever again.

Ha! Only kidding, sort of (Hard to tell when typing on an empty stomach. Will all this rage & anguish disappear after a bowl of cereal?) didn't really mean it until the Indian fascists essentially invited an attack on the U.S. Embassy & directly threatened American citizens in India.
Police also removed the traffic barricades near the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, a demand by the Indian government in retaliation for Khobragade’s treatment, PTI reported. The barriers were a safety measure.

“We got orders to remove the concrete barriers,” said Amardeep Sehgal, station house officer of the Chanakyapuri police station, the one nearest the embassy. “They were obstructing traffic on the road.” He refused to say who had given the orders.

Calls to the U.S. Embassy were not immediately returned Tuesday.

Yashwant Sinha, an opposition Bharatiya Janata Party member and former Indian finance minister, suggested arresting the same-sex partners of U.S. diplomats, after India’s Supreme Court last week upheld a law outlawing gay sex.

“The media has reported that we have issued visas to a number of U.S. diplomats’ companions. ‘Companions’ means that they are of the same sex,” Sinha told NDTV on Tuesday. “It is completely illegal in our country. Just as paying less wages was illegal in the U.S.* So, why doesn’t the government of India go ahead and arrest all of them? Put them behind bars, prosecute them in this country and punish them.”
It would be too much to expect the U.S. of A. to get into a shooting war over gay diplomats' partners/companions, but we can hope for progress. (It's hardly as if this nation's m.o. since Reagan hasn't been to use any pathetic excuse to start hostilities as compensation for Republican incompetence, from the Beirut Marine Barracks bombing to 11 September 2001.)

Read this, then try to suppress your desire to slap some sense into privileged Indian scum mouthing the same exhausted family values & exceptionalistic bullshit we hear from America's hypocritical cheapskates.
Standard security checks in the U.S. regularly are front-page news here when they involve visiting Indian dignitaries, who are largely exempt from friskings while at home.

India’s former speaker of Parliament, Somnath Chatterjee, once refused to attend an international meeting in Australia when he wasn’t given a guarantee that he would not have to pass through security. Chatterjee said even the possibility of a security screening was “an affront to India.”

The treatment and pay of household staff, meanwhile, is largely seen as a family issue, off-limits to the law.

*These priorities make it objectively clear that the U.S. actually is superior to at least one other nation on this planet of fear & pain, no matter how it pains me to admit it.
