But I Need  the Money

One nasty piece of work, the truly horrid Republican representative from major shit-hole North Carolina's incredibly shitty Second District, Renee Ellmers, is today's Most Awful Hypocrite, & she might be the weekly winner as well.
"I need my paycheck. That's the bottom line. I understand that there may be some other members who are deferring their paychecks, and I think that's admirable. I'm not in that position."

Two Faces Have I

Wait, this just in: That was a lie too. Imagine.
Two days earlier, the Dunn lawmaker refused to decline her paycheck like many of her Republican and Democratic colleagues during the shutdown, telling a Raleigh TV station, “I need my paycheck. That is the bottom line.”

The remark generated a firestorm and calls of hypocrisy given that 800,000 federal workers are being furloughed without pay because of the budget impasse in Congress.

Ellmers begin backtracking Friday morning in a CNN interview just before 10 a.m. She said her October paycheck was in her bank account when the shutdown took effect, Oct. 1, suggesting she couldn’t do anything about it. But if the shutdown continued, Ellmers said she will have another option to defer in November. “I may do it at that point,” she told CNN.In the same interview, the second-term congresswoman sought to empathize with the furloughed workers, saying she’s in their camp — even though she is getting paid. “I feel for those who have been furloughed — I’m there with them,” she said.
Will some concerned citizens burn a huge dollar sign on her lawn? (And hey, if her house is firebombed too, well, too damn bad, accidents will happen, won't they?)
What it might look like, if you all weren't chick. En. Shit.
P.S.: What's w/ you fucking leftists anyway? At Just Another Blog (From L.A.)™ barely a day passes that we don't suggest righteous & justified attacks, death by torture, assassinations & you-fucking-name-it on or against various awful people whose least punishments should be life at (very) hard labor. Yet nothing happens. Is there no longer anyone capable of action on the left? Chump-ass punks, you're all about as despicable as Republicans. We wash our hands of your compromising & going along to get along. FUCK YOU ALL & FUCK ALL OF YOU!!

I don't get it. I don't give a fuck if the congress gets paid. It really doesn't matter. We're talking about a rounding error here. Forget it. Stop worrying about whether these corrupt wackos are getting a few grand a month from taxpayers, and start trying to figure out either 1.)How to make this ridiculous, obsolete system of governance work in a time of plague and pestilence or 2.)How to break it and start over.

Because this shit isn't going to end, and things are going to get increasingly pear-shaped and there's really no hope unless they become more frightened of what WE might do than what THEY might do.

Accountability is a word that gets tossed around a lot. But what it means is consequences. When there are consequences, the shenanigans will very quickly end. Until then, the whole system is, and will remain, broken....

Nice picture.

You know who knows about accountability?
