Saturday Filler Suckfest

DTLA from N. St. Andrew's Pl. & W. Sunset Bl. w/ FedEx Vehicle
The above is looking southeastish. Here is a shot looking north. If the description (Early view of Sunset Boulevard just west of Western Ave, looking north. In the foreground is a woman selling melons from a table) is accurate, the melon-hawker was probably close to the FedEx truck in our shot, or a few metres to the left of it.

Believe it or don't, the Flame-broiled Whopper was my fastfood burger of choise when I was a teenager. (And it didn't matter how many calories I ate, I was skinny as a stick. A skinny stick.)

I was always committed to the Jack in the Box food substitute substances, except for a brief period in the mid eighties when KFC offered $0.29 "Chicken Littles", tiny chicken sammiches that you could buy by the bag for a few dollars and to any self-respecting tweaker that was a week's worth of food for three bux. You can't do better than that...

Like White Castle, but chicken. Healthy!

We've always preferred Jack-in-the-Pants. For the Sourdough Burger if nothing else.

But no Jack for thunder.

It's all poison.

In-n-Out for burgers.
Five Guys for fries.
Jack-in-the-Ass for shakes.

By the way, nice pictures at that archive.

This reminds me of Back to the Future, where there's nothing but open fields when they go back in time on the site of some modern urban ruin. Coolness.
